Here at Never Bin Greener, we can lift your old existing patio up & relay the same flags/tiles, making it look like a brand new patio!
HOW DO WE DO THIS?
First of all we lift the existing patio & dig out around 6 inches of the old sub base. We do this as nearly 100% of the time, a poor looking patio is a result of the subbase failing, due to being laid on the wrong or not enough of the right materials.
Next we then membrane the area’s to stop any old weeds coming back and penetrating your new patio’s joints. We then add a base layer of MOT (crushed stone – 4 inches) first of all & compact it all which in turn gives it the strength to last the course of time & not sink further down the line.
We will then lay your flags we have just lifted on a full bed of mortar after slurrying (glue like substance) the back of them. We slurry the back of all of our work to help enhance the bond from flag too mortar which in turn greatly decreases the chance of the flag coming loose further down the line.
Next we will then clean the flags professionally using a top of the range machine, bringing them back to new! Finally we will repoint the flags in a colour match brush in jointing slurry (projoint)
